Your main duties:  • Developing and creating vegan pastries, desserts, and baked goods that align with the cafe’s plant-based focus. • Experimenting with and utilizing a variety of non-animal-based ingredients to produce high-quality,flavorful, and visually appealing pastries. • Collaborating with the Head Chef to design and update the dessert menu, ensuring seasonal and customer preferences are incorporated. • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety, ensuring all products are prepared and stored in compliance with health regulations. • Monitoring stock levels for baking ingredients and placing orders as necessary to ensure continuous production. Cleaning & Hygiene • Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils • Following food safety and hygiene regulations at all times • Storing food properly to prevent contamination and spoilage • Washing and sanitizing kitchen tools and ensuring proper waste disposal Stock & Inventory Management • Checking and organizing food deliveries, ensuring freshness and quality • Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to the head chef • Rotating stock to minimize waste and ensure proper usage of ingredients Health & Safety Compliance • Adhering to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen • Reporting any kitchen hazards or equipment malfunctions • Using kitchen equipment safely and correctly

We are searching for an 2 experienced, passionate and down-to-earth Assistant Chef to join our team for a new opening. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DON’T HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE! The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience in preparing high-quality food, has worked in a cafe environment and is capable of understanding and following instructions from the Head Chef as well as other members of the team. Experience in new shop opening is a plus! The Assistant Chef will be responsible for supporting the team by preparing meals, ensuring that all ingredients are properly stored and maintained and ordering additional food supplies when necessary and run a service independently. Responsibilities: Assist with preparations for food service and bakery. Demonstrate knowledge of food safety practices. Organize and store ingredients and supplies. Annotate food orders for preparation and presentation to the customer. Apply basic knowledge of recipe preparation, presentation, and service to maintain inventory levels of the restaurant. Communicate with other employees regarding food order processing, flow of employees through the kitchen, and any problems. Able to manage kitchen (alongside the rest of the team) on days when head chef is off. The is a full time position and part time position. You need to be able to work on weekends.

Hi everyone! We are looking for staff for our shop in Westminster, London (SW1P 2HP). We will be interviewing/carrying out trials this week from Sat 7th June onwards. We are looking for an immediate start. We will work with you to find the right start date. We are trialling 7.30am-2pm on Saturdays. This role will involve making good coffee including Greek coffees (ελληνικός, freddo and frappé) - knowledge of using espresso machines and latte art a must. You will also be expected to open and close the shop, bake pastries/ prepare food and present/serve it. You will be expected to manage the inventory and uphold the hygiene and cleanliness of the shop. Experience managing a shop is a must. Pay is competitive. Experience will be taken into consideration. You must have passion for Greece and its' products. We will expect you to learn how to pronounce the names in Greek as well as possible and be able to sell the products. We will help you with this but a good ability to sell products is absolutely necessary. We also have both Greek and Spanish food stalls which we make ask you to assist with as they are located outside our shop. You must have permission to work in the UK.
