Head of Product Operations Locations: London, Essex | Hybrid The Opportunity We’re looking for an experienced Head of Product Operations to take our Digital organisation to the next level. This is an opportunity to own and drive the strategy for our product operations across digital. You’ll be part of a fast-moving, highly skilled team, shaping the next generation of investment and client-facing applications. This is our first leadership hire in product operations, and we see it as a fundamental piece to continue driving efficiency. By streamlining and gradually improving the functions that support our product org, you will support our team to meet the needs of our clients better and deliver more strategic outcomes. We are looking for an experienced leader who is confident in setting up a product operations function from scratch and proving its value to our organisation to continue developing it further. What You Will Get To Do: You will be heading the following fundamental areas: Product ops strategy • Define and execute the Product Ops vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with our Product Management function, ensuring a strong connection to business goals and client needs., • Identify and prioritise opportunities to improve team performance and user experience, creating the conditions for market-leading solutions. Data, product analytics and success metrics • Lead our product analytics capability to derive actionable insights and continuously optimise user experience., • Work closely with Product Managers to define, track, and report on KPIs and success metrics that measure performance, engagement, and adoption., • Ensure we have the right tools, governance, and practices to enable robust, data-informed decision-making. Discovery and experimentation • Oversee our research function across user, competitor, industry, and regulatory domains., • Champion customer-centric discovery practices, ensuring product decisions are rooted in real user and market needs., • Create and maintain a structured insights library and feedback hub, enabling teams to access and act on validated insights quickly. Tool optimisation and management • Assess and present business cases for investment in tools and platforms that improve efficiency and quality of delivery., • Ensure all tools and vendor solutions meet compliance, security, and accessibility requirements, working closely with Legal, Risk, and IT teams., • Drive adoption and best use of product management, collaboration, and analytics tools. Communication & stakeholder enablement • Educate Product, UX/UI, Engineering, Data, and Research teams on the product lifecycle operating model., • Partner with Delivery Leads, Client Relationship Managers, and other business leaders to ensure visibility of how we serve our Digital clients., • Establish consistent, tailored communication practices that build trust and alignment across technical and non-technical teams. Product Ops team development • Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing Product Ops team., • Foster a collaborative, data-informed, and client-focused culture across the function., • Set clear objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and create professional development pathways for your team. What You Will Bring: • Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or a relevant Master advantageous., • 8+ years of experience in Product Operations, Product Management, or consultancy within B2B, B2B2C, or enterprise SaaS., • Minimum 4 years of operating at a senior level, setting strategy and influencing cross-functional stakeholders., • Proven experience establishing and scaling a 0–1 Product Ops function, including strategy, tooling, processes, and team structures., • Track record of leading a Product Ops team, implementing new processes, and improving efficiency and alignment., • Experience in regulated industries such as Financial Services, FinTech, or Investment Platforms; Asset Management experience is a strong advantage., • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, develop business cases, and deliver measurable impact., • Strong analytical skills with a strategic, hands-on approach., • Deep knowledge of product management practices, including discovery, experimentation, release management, and continuous delivery., • Experience with product analytics platforms, research frameworks, and insights management., • Exposure to AI-first product development or data-led automation is desirable., • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to communicate complex ideas with clarity to both technical and non-technical audiences., • Comfortable working in fast-paced, agile environments, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on long-term outcomes.
