You will be joining a fast-pace environment assisting in finding logistics solutions for some of the world's largest industrial, retail & FMCG based customers. My client focuses on searching air freight, sea freight & road freight solutions, which are both cost effective & time sensitive. Job Description As a Sea & Air Freight Manager you will report in to the Freight Branch Director on a daily basis. You will be responsible for the following areas for responsibility across the Castle Donington office in Leicestershire: • Managing a small team of 10-12 sea / ocean and air freight forwarders - including their training, development and engagement., • Overseeing the team responsible for preparing sea & air freight pricing & customer quotations - informing about the freight prices, port charges, cost of special documents, insurance prices as well as prices for handling the goods., • Overseeing the team responsible for Documents of Operations and transportation (booking, airway bills and loading confirmation), • Strategic analysis surrounding the nominating carriers, airlines and GSA in-line with rates, OTIF value and customer requirements in line with a variety of INCOTerms., • Customer rate analysis on route guidance, whilst monitoring and secure allocations and operation efficiency, • Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients with a knowledge of the clients business requirements, • Key Account Management of current and new account onboarding across a variety of trade lanes and customer industry. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have an expansive background in multi-modal freight forwarding (either road, air or sea freight). The ideal Sea & Air Freight Manager will have the following skills and experience: • 4+ year's experience in freight forwarding in any mode of freight (ideally focused on sea and air freight), • Experience leading or managing teams within a freight forwarding or shipping environment., • Experience of pricing, quotation and planning customer deliveries across road, air & sea freight., • Desirable experience of customs compliance, • Excellent customer service and key accounts experience, • Knowledge of INCOTerms is advantageous, • Commutable to Castle Donington, Leciestershire on a hybrid basis What's On Offer? • £55,000-£63,000, • 32 days annual leave, • Comprehensive company benefits account., • World-class training & development and large opportunities to progress.
