Sector: Aerospace & Manufacturing Salary: £45,234.17 per annum (Includes 17% Shift Premium) Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire Contract: Full-Time / Permanent – 3 Shift Pattern (Morning, Afternoon and Night) Are you a Level II X-Ray Technician looking for long-term stability within a structured aerospace environment? Verus Recruitment Partners are pleased to be supporting a leading international aerospace manufacturer based in South Yorkshire. Due to continued growth and programme demand, we are recruiting an experienced NDT X-Ray Technician to join their established Radiography department on a permanent basis. This role would suit someone who values working within a compliance-led environment where standards are clear, documentation is controlled and quality is embedded into daily operations. Job Purpose: To carry out radiographic non-destructive testing on aerospace components, ensuring all products meet strict customer, regulatory and internal quality standards. You will understand the products, equipment setup and NDT operations, working within a highly regulated and audit-ready environment. Duties & Responsibilities: • Work with X-Ray generating equipment., • Set up, operate and calibrate all X-Ray equipment., • Review routers, procedures, specifications and technical documentation., • Carry out radiographic testing in line with EN4179 / NAS410 standards., • Process radiographic films and/or digital outputs., • Interpret, evaluate and report inspection results., • Identify weld discontinuities and assess against specification., • Generate new and amended NDT Data Cards for Level III approval., • Maintain accurate and traceable inspection documentation., • Assist with equipment maintenance and process control checks., • Hold or previously have held EN4179 / NAS410 Level II X-Ray certification (essential)., • Experience working within an aerospace Radiography department., • Confident operating and calibrating X-Ray equipment., • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications., • Familiarity with AS9100 and NADCAP environments would be advantageous., • Strong attention to detail and a methodical working approach., • Competitive salary of £38,661.69 basic + 17% shift premium (£45,234.17 total annual salary)., • 185 hours annual leave plus bank holidays., • Opportunity to buy or sell 16 hours of holiday each year., • Christmas shutdown without using annual leave., • 5% employer matched pension scheme., • Annual bonus linked to site and company performance., • Westfield Health Scheme., • YuLife app with rewards for daily activity., • Access to 24/7 GP via YuLife., • Bravo benefits platform offering retail and gym discounts., • Salary sacrifice scheme for Electric / Hybrid vehicles and Critical Illness Cover., • Free Vend Friday hot drinks in the canteen.
