As a Vehicle Mechanic, Fitter, or Technician, you’ll receive: £32,000–£33,000 salary 37‑hour working week over 4 days (Mon–Thurs) Enhanced overtime rates All tools and PPE provided Comprehensive benefits package A stable, supportive environment with real career development opportunities This role involves working on both UK MOD and international tracked and wheeled tactical military vehicles in a well‑equipped, secure facility. What You’ll Do Carry out mechanical servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on military vehicles, including work on associated electrical systems. Interpret and work from mechanical drawings, engineering process plans, and customer specifications to maintain the highest standards. Accurately complete documentation, test certificates, inspection reports, and maintenance records. Undertake equipment inspections in line with production, safety, and quality requirements. Use workshop tools and equipment correctly, reporting defects and returning unused materials. Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team supporting national defence with precision and purpose. What You’ll Bring City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (essential). Hands‑on experience in a similar mechanical role—ideal backgrounds include ex‑forces, HGV/PSV, commercial dealership, plant, or agricultural machinery maintenance. Strong understanding of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and vehicle diagnostics. Teamwork, adaptability, and strong communication skills. Eligibility to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance—requiring no criminal convictions and 5 years UK residency.
