Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for delivering an annual schedule of memorable and impactful internal and external events that support the delivery of the organisation’s New Met for London 2 plan., • Lead and oversee a wide variety of sometimes complex content design, development, and execution of a comprehensive programme of Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner visits, working with the Commissioner's communications leads and private office., • Successful delivery of selected incoming VVIP visits including Secretaries of State, the Mayor of London, Ministers, and senior international delegations., • You will lead a visits and events team to agree timelines, secure additional project personnel where needed, source venues, advise on content and audience requirements, manage the budget, evaluate the events, work with contractors to secure all the audio-visual needs and exhibition build for the events, and work with other colleagues across the Met to promote the event and secure attendance., • To support seamless delivery, you will ensure effective briefing and support to Management Board and other senior colleagues, including thorough written briefing notes and speaking bullets, that ensure they are prepared to communicate and engage at the highest standard at each visit and event., • Ensure events and visits are supported as needed with engagement, media, social and internal communications to ensure our event audiences have a joined-up event and engagement experience, before, during and after events, and the impact of relevant events is amplified successfully where needed.
