Job Purpose A key member of our busy, solution focussed HR team, as an HR Business Partner, you will act as a strategic partner to managers and supervisors, providing expert guidance on people matters, organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee relations. You will play a key role in shaping a high‑performing, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture while supporting the delivery of North Air’s people strategy. This is a homebased role, with significant travel across our sites through the UK, a car allowance is provided. The ideal candidate will be location in North West of England. This is a Full Time, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. The Salary for the role is up to £55,000 Key areas of Responsibility Working closely with the HR Director and HR to provide support and day to day advice to managers and supervisors covering employment issues, policies, procedures and terms and conditions. Strategic HR Support • Partner with managers and supervisors to provide day‑to‑day, solutions‑focused advice on employment issues, policies, procedures, and terms and conditions., • Coach and influence leaders to build capability, improve decision‑making, and drive positive employee experience., • Support the talent acquisition strategy in partnership with the Head of HR, ensuring attraction of high‑quality, diverse talent aligned with North Air’s strategic workforce priorities., • Coach and Mentor the Talent Specialist, • Oversee end‑to‑end recruitment, including job design, advertising, shortlisting, selection, and onboarding., • Act as centre of expertise for recruitment best practice, improving sourcing channels and promoting innovative and inclusive hiring approaches., • Working with the HR Administrator identify improvements to maintain the accuracy and integrity of HR & Payroll Data, for example initiative regular reviews of data, monitor for any regular errors in payroll processes and put in place actions to address, • Co-ordinate the year-end tax processes to ensure that these are completed accurately and on time, • Provide strategic support on absence management, advising managers on complex sickness cases and liaising with Occupational Health., • Monitor absence data trends, identifying root causes and supporting continuous improvement in attendance management., • Work with the Head of HR to source funding opportunities, including apprenticeship levy funding, • Liaise with Managers, ROM and HRBP to design training plans for sites, • Maintain Succession Plans for key roles within the organisation, • Administer all aspects of training courses., • Design and Deliver HR related training to managers and supervisors, • Provide guidance and support on disciplinary, grievance, performance, and capability matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of policy., • Manage HR processes including fixed‑term consultations, probation reviews, and salary changes., • Review and modernise HR processes to ensure clarity, efficiency, and compliance., • Produce and analyse key HR metrics—including headcount, age profile, turnover, absence data—to inform decision‑making and strategic planning., • Review and update HR back-office processes to ensure that they are fit for purpose, efficient and clear for all to understand/follow, • Supporting Supervisors and Managers with Discipline and Grievance Meetings, • Participate in Function Specific and Cross Functional Projects This list may not be exhaustive and post holders may be expected to carry out other activities as identified by the company. Skills and Experience • Varied experience as an HR Advisor/HRBP in multi-site organisation., • An ability to think strategically: ‘joining the dots’ across the bigger picture to support the whole organisation, • A passion for supporting the delivery of changes which enhance organisational effectiveness, working with the variety of challenges and opportunities a multi site organisation brings., • A commitment to service excellence and continuous service improvement., • Highly developed communication skills with the ability to listen, reflect and adapt your preferred personal style to improve your influence and impact., • A proven track record in the successful delivery of generalist HR case work, including recruitment/selection, absence management, performance and grievances., • Experience of using HR information systems and be able to interpret and analyse statistical HR data, • A problem solving/ approach to work with the ability to adapt your style as work dictates, • Experience of working independently whilst also being able to work effectively as part of a team Qualifications • CIPD Qualification, • A degree in Human Resources or Equivalent Experience, • Full Clean Driving License, as regular travel to site will be expected Diversity North Air are a committed equal opportunity employer and encourage applications for suitably qualified and eligible applicants regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, pregnancy, and maternity.
