What Are We Looking For? Through our continued success in industry, we are looking to add to our staff headcount and welcome applications for our Electrical Chargehand role to join the business. The Electrical Supervisor at DPS Group plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing electrical installation projects for the company's clients. They are responsible for ensuring the successful execution of electrical works, adherence to safety standards, coordination of resources, and timely completion of projects. The Electrical Chargehand works closely with electrical supervisors, project managers, technicians, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality electrical, instrument and process control installations. Some of Your Key Duties Include: Supervise and guide small on site teams of electrical personnel and subcontractors in executing electrical installations. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations. Support projects in overseeing the day to day installation of electrical systems, equipment, and wiring in accordance with project specifications. Conduct regular inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of electrical work Coordinate with the supervisor to ensure the availability of necessary electrical materials and equipment. Help manage and allocate resources effectively, including labour, tools, and equipment, to maximise productivity and efficiency. Provide technical guidance and support to electrical technicians, assisting them in troubleshooting and resolving installation issues. Serve as a primary point of contact for supervisors regarding electrical installation projects. Maintain regular communication with supervisors and clients to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction. Conduct inspections and tests to verify the functionality and performance of electrical systems. Address any deficiencies or non-conformities identified during inspections and ensure timely rectification. What Do You Need? Relevant experience in electrical installation and supervision, in industrial projects. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and standards. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Proficiency in reading electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. What Are We Looking For? We are looking for Electricians to service our client base across Scotland on a full time, permanent basis. Youll be working with an established teams to assist in our continued successful deliver of projects across multiple sectors including, but not limited to, Power, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Food and Beverage, and Bio-Energy. Some of Your Key Duties Include: Install cable containment systems to a high standard safely. Install, gland, terminate cable systems mainly used in the industrial sector to BS 7671 and supplied drawings. Install electrical equipment to BS 7671 and manufacturers instructions. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Work at height to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures (using appropriate safety equipment and adhering to safe working procedures). Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and standards. What Do You Need? Fully qualified electrician with skill in the installation, repair and maintenance of all types of electrical equipment and components ECS Grading Card must be current/in date (BS 7671 Training, Approved Health and Safety Assessment) Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade Knowledge of applicable electrical standards and regulations Fully qualified to 18th Edition Water industry experience would be highly advantageous, but other sectors such as heavy industry will also be considered EUSR Ticket DPS Who Are We?
