Senior Project Manager Location: Sunderland with occasional travel Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE + £5,000 Car Allowance We’re recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join a growing engineering project delivery business operating within heavy engineering, bulk material handling and complex industrial projects across the UK and overseas. This is a senior-level role suited to someone who can take ownership of large-scale EPC projects from start to finish, manage demanding clients and drive delivery. Projects typically range from £5m–£10m in value across sectors including tunnelling, processing, quarrying, mining and industrial plant engineering. Package • Salary up to £70,000 DOE, • Early finish on a Friday, • £5,000 Car Allowance, • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, • Employee Assistance Programme, • Group Life Assurance, • Group Income Protection, • Holiday buy up to 5 days, • Holiday sell up to 5 days, • Discount & Benefits Platform, • Long Service & Recognition Awards, • Friendly and hard-working engineering team/colleagues, • Exciting projects to deliver from start to finish, • Onsite Parking The Role • Full lifecycle project management responsibility from order handover through to installation, commissioning and final completion, • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules and contractual deliverables, • Drive project delivery across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics and site installation, • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout delivery, • Manage project reporting, forecasting and commercial performance, • Handle scope changes, variations and contractual issues professionally, • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget What They’re Looking For • Strong Senior Project Management experience within heavy engineering, construction or bulk material handling environments ideally, • Proven EPC / fixed-price contract experience is essential, • NEC3 / NEC4 contract knowledge highly desirable, • Experience managing large steelwork, installation or construction-based engineering projects, • Comfortable working directly with clients and site teams, • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to protect programme, scope and margin, • Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced project environment, • Site-based project management experience preferred, • Engineering qualification or relevant technical background beneficial If this exciting new opportunity is something you’d be interested in, then please apply and we will be in touch if you’re a suitable fit
