Financial Controller Halifax £60,000 - £65,000 FTE (salary will be pro rata) 4 day working week Hybrid working - 2 days in the office Opportunity to join a recently PE funded business on an exciting growth journey Campbell Grove Talent are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a Halifax based business, in their search for a Financial Controller. This will be a 4 day a week role, because great work and a life outside of it shouldn't be mutually exclusive. A business that's just secured PE backing and is on a real growth journey, working with some of the best known global brands across the world. A finance function that's been outsourced until now and is being brought fully in-house for the first time. A new CFO joining who we’re fortunate enough to have known for years: one of the most dynamic, commercially sharp, and genuinely supportive leaders we’ve come across in finance. They need a strong number two to build this function with them. Someone they can trust with the numbers, and someone they can invest in. What you'll be doing: This is a true hands-on Financial Controller role that will offer you exposure across all areas and to the Board. • Month end, year-end, consolidated management accounts, and Board packs, • Cash flow forecasting, balance sheet control, and working capital management, • Statutory accounts, audit, VAT, and corporation tax, • Rolling P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet models to support planning and forecasting, • Building scalable processes and controls as the business grows quickly, • Being a key finance contact for the PE house, and getting exposure to M&A, debt raising, and exit prep You'll also manage a part-time Finance Assistant who'll take care of the transactional day-to-day, so you can focus on the stuff that really matters. What we're looking for: You'll be ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified. Beyond that, what matters most is that you can own the consolidation process without needing handholding, you're comfortable in a fast-moving environment, and you've got a hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up attitude. Experience in a PE-backed or owner-managed SME would be a bonus. Xero knowledge is helpful too, but not a dealbreaker. The bit that makes this different: The CFO coming in is the kind of leader who genuinely wants to help people grow. If there are areas you haven't had exposure to yet i.e. PE reporting, M&A, exit prep, they’ll bring you into that world and mentor you through it. This isn't just a job. It's a genuine step up. If this sounds like the kind of opportunity you've been waiting for, then please apply with your CV or reach out to Emma Dugdale or Lucy Regan for a confidential chat.
