As a Social Worker in our Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Team, you’ll play a key role in guiding prospective foster carers through their journey – from initial enquiry to full assessment. You’ll join a passionate, multi-disciplinary team committed to expanding Hampshire’s fostering community and ensuring that children who cannot live with their own families have the opportunity to thrive in safe, nurturing foster homes. With around 500 fostering households already supporting children across the county, we’re looking to expand further to meet rising demand. Your role will be key in helping children stay close to their schools, friends, and families by inspiring and guiding more people to take the step to foster. What you’ll do: • Support and guide prospective foster carers from their first enquiry, helping them understand the role and encouraging them to take the next step., • Conduct initial screenings, home visits, and full fostering assessments to determine suitability of applicants., • Build strong relationships with applicants, supporting them through the assessment journey., • Make robust safeguarding decisions and work in partnership with other agencies to protect vulnerable individuals., • Attend recruitment events and engage with the public to raise awareness and challenge misconceptions about fostering., • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England. Joining our Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Team as an Assistant Team Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading the operational delivery of foster carer recruitment and assessment across Hampshire. Working alongside another Assistant Team Manager, you’ll supervise staff, drive service improvement, and help maintain high standards of practice across the team. Our team is at the heart of Hampshire’s efforts to grow its fostering community and meet the needs of our most vulnerable children. We recruit carers who can offer safe, nurturing homes to children who cannot live with their own families. Your work will be instrumental in shaping how we engage with our communities and promote fostering as a rewarding and life-changing journey for both carers and the children they care for. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Bush & Co have a strong focus on proactive rehabilitation and focused outcomes through comprehensive assessments, development of focussed goals, and solution focused implementation of rehabilitation recommendations. Our case management service, which is managed by clinicians, offers a choice of assessment options that are driven to guide people through their rehabilitation to return them as close as possible to the position they were in prior to their injury, including vocational support As a case manager you will be commissioning approved services from statutory, voluntary, and private sectors, with a clear focus on returning the client to their pre-incident function. You will need to demonstrate clear and effective case management abilities and have exceptional organisational skills. With a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, ideally applicants will have community-based experience of establishing or implementing rehabilitation packages.
