About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead our Urban Climate Resilience (UCR) business in the UK & Ireland — driving sustainable growth and helping communities adapt to the challenges of climate change. In this role, you’ll build and lead a high-performing commercial team, execute the go-to-market strategy, and act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders across the construction and infrastructure value chain. Your focus: developing profitable growth, building strategic partnerships, and promoting integrated stormwater and UCR solutions that make our cities more resilient. What You’ll Do • Lead, develop, and motivate a commercial upstream UCR team across the UK & Ireland., • Drive profitable sales growth by executing a go-to-market strategy aligned with global UCR objectives., • Engage early in the project value chain with developers, specifiers, architects, and partners to shape client vision and influence design., • Build strong relationships and position Wavin as a trusted advisor in stormwater management and climate resilience., • Translate commercial country plans into actionable account development strategies., • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence., • Maintain robust project pipelines and manage opportunities through CRM and SAMBA methodology., • Collaborate closely with Product Management and Design & Engineering teams to ensure technical excellence., • Share key market insights to shape both short- and long-term commercial strategy., • Foster cross-selling opportunities across other Wavin product categories., • Recruit, coach, and retain a high-performing team that embodies Wavin’s values., • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company standards. What You’ll Bring • 5+ years’ experience leading commercial or sales teams within stormwater management, infrastructure, or engineering sectors., • Proven track record of solution selling and developing business in new or emerging markets., • Strong technical understanding of stormwater management and Urban Climate Resilience, or the ability to quickly acquire it., • Demonstrated success in executing GTM strategies, building pipelines, and achieving sales growth., • Excellent client-facing, consultative selling, and presentation skills., • Knowledge of the UK and Ireland construction and infrastructure markets., • Collaborative leader and motivator with excellent communication skills across functions and cultures., • Experience managing change and driving continuous improvement., • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, urban planning, water management, or related discipline preferred.
