Job Title: Nursery Teacher Location: Derby (DE3) Salary: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time Are you a nurturing Nursery Teacher passionate about early childhood development? GSL Education are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teachers to work in schools across Derby (DE3). As a Nursery Teacher, you will create a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment where children can develop key early skills in communication, social interaction, and independence. Responsibilities of a Nursery Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment Support children’s early development in communication, literacy, and numeracy Use play-based and creative approaches to encourage learning Monitor and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records Support children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development Work closely with teaching assistants and staff to support learning Build strong relationships with parents and carers Requirements of a Nursery Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience working within a Nursery or EYFS setting is desirable Strong understanding of early years development and curriculum A patient, caring, and creative approach Excellent communication and classroom management skills A genuine passion for early years education An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
