We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP/CSA) to join our clients project team in Blyth, United Kingdom. This role will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of one of Europe's largest Data Centre projects reporting into a Commercial Manager, ensuring costs are controlled, value is maximised, and financial delivery is achieved in line with project objectives. Requirements • Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of the project lifecycle, • Prepare, review, and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports, • Lead the procurement process, including subcontractor selection, tendering, and contract negotiations, • Manage subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations, and final accounts, • Monitor project costs and identify risks and opportunities to ensure financial control, • Support and collaborate with Project Managers, Package Managers, and site teams on cost management, • Ensure all contractual documentation is maintained and up to date, • Attend Commercial Meetings, Site Meetings, and Project Reviews, • Evaluate and process change orders and manage variations in line with contract requirements, • Prepare and submit interim valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts, • Provide commercial advice and support to the wider project team, • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, conditions, and company procedures, • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management, • Proactively identify and resolve commercial and contractual issues Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar discipline, • Minimum 8+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably within construction, • Strong experience managing commercial aspects of large-scale construction projects, • Proven track record in cost control, procurement, and contract administration, • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and financial management skills, • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial practices, • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams, • High level of attention to detail and organisational skills, • Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous Benefits · Opportunity to work for a market leader in the Data centre industry · Working on large scale data centre projects · Collaborative team working environments · Career progression and development supported · Competitive salary packages
