The below job description will outline this position of: Procurement Team Leader / Senior Buyer Typically, this person will be responsible for leading and managing a procurement and buying team within a manufacturing environment. The role will focus on supplier management, purchasing strategy, cost reduction and supporting new product introduction, while ensuring supply chain performance meets key business KPIs including safety, quality, delivery and cost. Duties and responsibilities of the Procurement Team Leader / Senior Buyer: • Lead and supervise the procurement team, ensuring efficient day-to-day purchasing operations, • Manage purchasing activity including supplier orders, demand planning and inventory support, • Monitor procurement performance and support delivery against operational KPIs, • Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost and delivery targets are met, • Identify and implement supply chain improvements, cost reduction and efficiency opportunities, • Support supplier selection and procurement activities for new product introduction projects, • Work closely with engineering, operations and finance teams to support manufacturing requirements, • Ensure accurate RFQs, purchase orders and procurement documentation are maintained, • Manage supplier performance, risk mitigation and supply chain continuity, • Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain operations Qualifications and requirements for the Procurement Team Leader / Senior Buyer: • CIPS Level 4 qualified or equivalent procurement experience, • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or similar discipline, • Experience leading or supervising a procurement or buying team within manufacturing, • Strong supplier management, negotiation and commercial awareness, • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems within a manufacturing environment, • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO9001, AS9100 or similar regulated environments, • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills This vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical Ltd who have been appointed to act as a recruitment partner for this role
