Perks and Benefits • Competitive Salary: £41,220 – £49,142 per year., • Professional Development: Access to continuous learning and career-development pathways., • Supportive Supervision: Benefit from reflective practice and structured supervision., • Generous Annual Leave: Enjoy a strong annual leave package plus bank holidays., • Local Government Pension Scheme: Financial peace of mind with a robust pension., • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with safeguarding partners and widen your professional network.Key Responsibilities / What You Will Do, • Receive, assess, and triage safeguarding referrals regarding children and young people., • Collaborate with police, health, education, and other partners to gather key information., • Conduct initial assessments and screenings to understand risk level and required interventions., • Make timely, evidence-based decisions in line with the Children Act 1989 and safeguarding guidance., • Identify children who require early help or statutory assessments., • Maintain accurate, timely records and ensure high-quality documentation., • Take part in multi-agency safeguarding meetings, strategy discussions, and decision-making processes., • Provide safeguarding advice and guidance to external agencies., • Ensure the child’s voice and best interests shape every assessment and recommendation.Requirements / Candidate CriteriaEssential, • Qualified Social Worker (BA/MA Social Work or equivalent)., • Registered with Social Work England., • Experience in children’s services, safeguarding, or referral/assessment teams., • Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and statutory duties., • Excellent analytical, communication, and multi-agency working skills., • Ability to make sound decisions based on risk, need, and evidence.Desirable, • Experience working in a MASH or Integrated Front Door team., • Understanding of early help interventions and thresholds.
