You will work directly with the Managing Director on a daily basis, helping drive execution across fundraising, investor relations, strategic initiatives, communications, and internal operations — while also managing the countless moving pieces required to build a fast-scaling, pan-African platform. The ideal candidate is a “Swiss Army knife” — equally comfortable building investor presentations, coordinating complex international travel, preparing for high-stakes meetings, synthesizing strategic materials, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. This role is best suited for someone early in their career but operating well above their experience level — with exceptional judgment, energy, and ownership. Key Responsibilities1. Fundraising & Investor Relations • Support capital raising efforts across Zaria Group and the Zaria District Platform, • Prepare and refine investor presentations, one-pagers, and supporting materials, • Coordinate investor outreach, meetings, and follow-ups, • Assist in managing investor communications and data room materials 3. Strategic Communications & Presentations • Build high-quality, compelling presentations for investors, partners, and government stakeholders, • Draft briefing notes, talking points, and strategic memoranda, • Translate complex ideas into clear, structured, and persuasive materials 4. Business Operations & Internal Coordination • Support internal operations across a lean, high-performance team, • Help coordinate across development, finance, partnerships, and external stakeholders, • Track key initiatives, timelines, and deliverables across the organization, • Ensure alignment and accountability across multiple concurrent workstreams 5. Meetings, Travel & Events • Plan and coordinate complex international travel (often across Africa, Europe, and the U.S.), • Prepare detailed itineraries, meeting briefs, and background materials, • Organize high-level meetings with investors, government officials, and partners, • Support planning and execution of events, conferences, and roadshows 6. Market Research & Special Projects • Conduct targeted research across markets, investors, and strategic opportunities, • Support new market entry analysis and business development initiatives, • Take ownership of special projects as required — often time-sensitive and high-stakes Qualifications • 2–6 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, startups, or similar high-performance environments, • Strong experience building presentations and written materials (PowerPoint / Google Slides), • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, • Demonstrated ability to operate in fast-paced, unstructured environments, • Deep familiarity with Africa — through work experience, upbringing, or extensive travel (strong preference), • Fluency in French strongly preferred, • Exceptional proficiency in AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, and other advanced models) is REQUIRED, including:, • Using AI to draft, refine, and audit presentations and written materials, • Conducting research and synthesizing large volumes of information, • Supporting analytical workflows and validating assumptions, • Increasing speed, quality, and leverage across all aspects of work, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • High level of discretion and professionalism Professional Attributes • Highly proactive with a strong ownership mentality, • Operates with urgency, precision, and attention to detail, • Able to think strategically while executing tactically, • Resourceful, adaptable, and solutions-oriented, • Comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders across business and government, • High EQ, strong judgment, and ability to represent the Managing Director when needed Why This Role This is a rare opportunity to work side-by-side with the leadership of a company building one of the most ambitious sports and entertainment platforms in Africa. You will gain direct exposure to: • Cross-border capital raising and institutional investors, • Large-scale infrastructure and real estate development, • Public-private partnerships and government engagement
