The below job description will outline this position of: Security Maintenance & Reactive Call Engineer Typically, this person will carry out planned maintenance and reactive fault-finding across intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems. The role involves diagnosing faults, resolving issues on-site where possible, and liaising with both customers and internal teams to ensure high service standards are maintained. Duties and responsibilities of the Security Maintenance & Reactive Call Engineer: Carry out routine maintenance of intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems Attend reactive call-outs, diagnose faults, and resolve or escalate where required Complete electronic job sheets accurately and in a timely manner Communicate effectively with customers regarding works, updates, and follow-up actions Feedback to the Operations Manager regarding additional works, upgrades, or rescheduling needs Represent the business professionally when on-site across commercial, local authority, and domestic properties Participate in a call-out rota (approx. 2 weeks on call, 3 times per year) Qualifications and requirements for the Security Maintenance & Reactive Call Engineer: Minimum of 5 years experience working with security systems (intruder alarms, CCTV, access control) Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive, can-do attitude Good communication skills and professional manner when dealing with customers Must be self-disciplined and organised in completing and reporting work Full UK driving licence Must be able to pass BS7858 security screening, Enhanced DBS check, and police check This vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical Ltd who have been appointed to act as a recruitment partner for this role.
