The Project Manager–Community will lead the development and delivery of Mend It Don’t Rag It (MIDRI), Neuthread’s community skills academy and volunteer programme. The role will focus on growing the wider Mend It Don’t Rag It movement through volunteer development, community partnerships, accessible skills opportunities and participation initiatives linked to repair, reuse and sustainability. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the reach and visibility of MIDRI, developing community-led opportunities and ensuring the project remains inclusive, empowering and impactful for volunteers, autistic individuals and wider community participants. Flexible between 15 – 22.5 hours per week. Fixed term – 30th June 2028. • Coordinate and deliver the Mend It Don’t Rag It (MIDRI) programme, ensuring activities are delivered on time and meet agreed targets., • Monitor progress, manage project data, and contribute to reports for funders and stakeholders., • Support the ongoing growth, sustainability and development of the programme., • Recruit, support and retain volunteers across the programme., • Develop inclusive volunteering opportunities, ensuring accessibility for autistic, neurodivergent and other underrepresented groups., • Create pathways that encourage volunteers to develop skills and progress into further opportunities., • Build and maintain relationships with community organisations, charities, businesses, local authorities and education providers., • Recruit and support partner organisations to adopt and deliver the Mend It Don’t Rag It model., • Promote the programme and its social, environmental and community impact within local communities and networks., • Lead recruitment into the MIDRI Community Skills Academy and support participation in workshops and learning opportunities., • Work with colleagues to develop community-based learning, training and progression opportunities., • Collect and analyse data to measure project outcomes and impact., • Gather case studies and success stories to support communications, reporting and funding requirements., • Use feedback and learning to continuously improve programme delivery and participant experience., • Work in line with organisational policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, safeguarding, confidentiality and GDPR requirements., • Promote equality, inclusion and participation in all aspects of your work., • Act as a positive ambassador for Daisy Chain, maintaining the organisation’s values and reputation., • Contribute to a positive team culture and support the continuous improvement of services and quality standards., • Attend and actively participate in team meetings, training and professional development opportunities., • Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately and professionally., • Undertake other reasonable duties commensurate with the responsibilities of the role., • Experience in project coordination or project management, preferably within a charity, community or volunteer-led environment (E) – (I, A), • Experience building partnerships with external stakeholders including community organisations, education providers and local authorities (E) – (I, A), • Experience planning and delivering community activities, workshops or engagement programmes (E) – (I, T), • Experience capturing impact, outcomes and case studies (D) – (I, A), • Experience supporting autistic, neurodivergent or other seldom heard communities (D) – (I, A), • Experience monitoring outcomes and producing reports (D) – (I, A), • Relevant qualifications in project management or a related field (E) – (I, A), • Certification in project management (e.g., "PMP, PRINCE2") (D) – (I, A), • Strong organisational and planning skills (E) – (I, T), • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (E) – (I, A), • Ability to build positive relationships with volunteers and community partners (E) – (I, T), • Understanding of volunteer engagement and inclusive community development approaches (E) – (I, T), • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously (E) – (I, T), • Strong networking and partnership development skills (E) – (I, A), • Passion for sustainability, reuse and environmental impact (D) – (I, A), • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evening and weekend work (E) – (I), • Full driving license and access to a car (E) – (I), • Understanding of and commitment to the values and ethos of Daisy Chain (E) – (I, A), • Willingness to undertake other duties as necessary (E) – (I), • Enhanced holiday leave of 33 days annual leave (pro rata for part time employees) rising to 35 after 5 years’ service., • A bespoke induction plan specific to you and your role which starts as soon as a job offer is accepted., • Alongside your induction plan new members of staff have a 6-month induction programme and planned meetings with their line manager to ensure the employee is settling in and offer any support needed to fulfil their role., • Ongoing training and development., • Our Employee Assistance Programme offers a full range of confidential services designed to ensure you receive professional support that may affect work and home life., • Company Pension Scheme., • Free on-site car parking and refreshments., • Social and charitable events., • Company sick Pay after successful completion of probationary period., • Savings Club, • Give as you earn scheme for staff to make donation to a charity of their choice if they wish., • If your role requires membership of a professional Body we will pay your membership fees.
