Role & Responsibilities The primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager (BDM) is to drive sales growth by converting qualified leads into new business and expanding opportunities within key industry sectors. - New Business & Market Growth: Prospect, qualify, and convert leads across core sectorsincluding automotive (OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers), E-mobility (Thermal management, EV Battery safety), Healthcare and Diagnostics, Wind Energy, Electronics, and Aerospace. Expand Tecman's presence in new verticals and regional markets, aligning with the companys growth objectives. - Cross-functional Collaboration with Technical, Engineering, Marketing, Lead Gen and Account Management teams to shape compelling value propositions and bids and help focus on the right areas - Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales plans with specific targets (e.g., revenue growth, new client acquisition, market diversification). Provide accurate new business sales forecasting, monitor KPIs, and continually refine the sales pipeline. Lead Generation Executive As Business Development Manager, youll play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and market expansion. Building on inbound leads generated by the team, your focus will be on qualifying projects and converting opportunities into new business sales. Alongside this, youll explore new opportunities in key sectors and provide valuable feedback to the Lead Generation team to help direct their focus. Skills & qualifications - Successful track record in business development and winning new clients - Experience in engineering, materials science, or manufacturing sectors will help - Strong technical aptitudecapable of identifying value add opportunities and selling a solution - Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams - Self-motivated and a leader by example - Agile thinker - Excellent written and spoken English. renumeration package - Starting salary of £55,000 to £65,000pa, depending on experience. - Company Car with private fuel - Tools of the trade (laptop, phone etc) - Company bonus - 25 days starting holiday + bank holidays (pro rata). - Professional development and training. - On-site EV charging Hours of work The hours of work will be nominally 40 hours per week.The Office open hours are as follows; Monday to Thursday 7:30 AM 4:30PM Friday 7:30 AM 1:30PM As this role includes travel, we would expect these hours to vary.
