The Head of Supply Chain will own, develop, and lead SYOS’ end‑to‑end global supply chain. This senior leadership role is responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling robust, data‑driven supply chain processes across purchasing, supplier management, material planning, inventory control, inbound logistics, and inwards goods. The role will ensure supply chain operations are efficient, resilient, and aligned with ISO 9001 quality management principles, while closely supporting Engineering and Production to ensure materials, suppliers, and processes enable reliable production and business growth across global markets. Key Responsibilities Global Supply Chain Leadership: • Define and deliver SYOS' global supply chain strategy in line with business objectives and growth plans, • Build scalable, standardised, and repeatable global supply chain processes, teams and governance, • Act as senior accountability for supply continuity, material availability, and delivery performance, • Partner closely with Engineering, Production, Operations, Quality, Finance, Commercial through all platforms Purchasing & Supplier Management: • Establish and own purchasing policies, processes, and controls, • Lead supplier selection, onboarding, and ongoing management globally, • Ensure supplier evaluation and performance management align with ISO 9001, • Negotiate pricing, lead times, capacity, and commercial terms Material Planning & Inventory Control: • Design and operate material planning and MRP processes, • Align supply plans with demand forecasts, production schedules, and capacity, • Define inventory policies including safety stock and reorder points Inbound Logistics & Inwards Goods: • Manage inbound logistics, freight, and delivery, • Establish inwards goods receipt, inspection, and traceability processes Systems & ERP: • Operate and optimise supply chain processes within ERP systems, • Support ERP improvements or implementations where required Performance & Continuous Improvement: • Track KPIs, manage supply risk, and drive continuous improvement Skills & Experience Essential: • Senior supply chain leadership experience, • Proven process build and scale experience, • Global supplier management, • ERP system experience, • Scale‑up or transformation experience, • Complex BOM or manufacturing environments Security Clearance: This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance. Eligibility for SC clearance typically requires continuous UK residency for at least 5 years, and the ability to pass government background checks conducted by UK Security Vetting (UKSV).
