Assistant Warehouse Manager | Kent | £ Are you a hands-on warehouse leader who enjoys being on the warehouse floor, motivating teams and driving operational performance? We're recruiting for an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to join a well-established and growing business in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working as a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader or Assistant Warehouse Manager who is looking to develop their career within a fast-paced distribution environment. The Opportunity Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse operation. You'll lead from the front, supporting goods-in, picking, packing, dispatch and stock control activities while helping to ensure performance, accuracy and service levels remain high. This is a practical leadership position, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, supporting the team and stepping in wherever required to keep operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities\n\n • Supporting the day-to-day management of warehouse operations\n, • Supervising, motivating and developing warehouse staff\n, • Ensuring orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time\n, • Managing goods-in, stock control and inventory processes\n, • Allocating workloads and resources effectively across the team\n, • Monitoring performance and providing coaching where required\n, • Completing health & safety checks and audits\n, • Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards\n, • Investigating and resolving operational issues\n, • Supporting staff administration including absence management and return-to-work processes\n, • Acting as deputy to the Warehouse Manager when required\nAbout You To be successful in this role, you'll have:\n\n, • Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader or Assistant Warehouse Manager position\n, • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, dispatch, stock control and inventory management\n, • Experience managing teams within a warehouse environment\n, • Excellent communication and people management skills\n, • A proactive, hands-on leadership style\n, • Good IT skills, including Excel and warehouse management systems\n, • A Counterbalance or Reach Forklift licence (essential)\n, • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail\nWhat's On Offer\n\n, • Salary of up to £38,000\n, • Monday to Friday working pattern\n, • Long-term career development opportunities\n, • Stable and growing business environment\n, • Supportive team culture\n, • Opportunity to make a genuine impact within the operation\nIf you're an ambitious warehouse professional looking for your next challenge and want to join a business where you can develop and progress, I'd be keen to hear from you.
