The Standard Pub, a modern and bustling neighbourhood pub, is renowned for its commitment to fresh, high-quality cuisine. We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining an organised and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring consistent quality, impeccable hygiene standards, and exceptional food preparation and presentation. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and specifications, ensuring culinary excellence., • Uphold stringent food hygiene, health, and safety protocols at all times., • Actively participate in menu development and execution, including the creation of enticing daily specials., • Efficiently manage food preparation, stock rotation, and implement strategies to minimise wastage., • Demonstrate effective performance and maintain composure during peak service periods., • Foster a positive and collaborative team atmosphere, contributing to a supportive kitchen culture. Requirements: • Proven experience as a Chef, or strong Commis Chef skills with a clear readiness for advancement., • A genuine passion for delivering fresh, consistent, and high-quality cuisine., • Exceptional time management abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure., • Comprehensive knowledge of food hygiene standards (Level 2 certification preferred)., • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, to meet the demands of a busy pub environment.
