Your Shift: What You Will Actually Be Doing We can teach you the systems, but we cannot teach you how to close a deal. We trust you to handle: The Sales Hustle: Hitting your numbers. You will treat the business like your own, delivering on strict goals including 20 point of sale referrals per month and 15 completed calls per shift. When an enquiry comes in, you are on it within one hour flat. The Guest Experience: Matching the package to the person. You will focus on the precise needs of potential members, conducting brilliant sales tours and offering tailored advice to get them signed up to a new way of life. The Standards: Protecting the product. You will complete a daily walk round of the leisure club to ensure our facilities look immaculate and standard operating procedures are met. Your own personal presentation must be impeccable at all times. The Communication: Being the face of the club. Company Description Hotality IT Solutions Ltd is a specialist IT consultancy providing support and outsourcing services to the hospitality sector, with nationwide coverage and 24/7/365 support. The company focuses on 4- and 5-star independent hotels and small groups, delivering tailored IT projects, solutions, and ongoing IT support. Role Description The 2nd Line Technical IT Support Engineer is a full-time role based in Basingstoke from 9am to 6pm weekdays. This position involves providing advanced technical support for hospitality clients, escalating issues to 3rd line support as needed, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems, performing system administration tasks, and managing user accounts and permissions. The engineer will respond to help desk tickets, document solutions, support project rollouts, and work closely with hotel staff and internal teams to maintain high service levels and system availability. You must have a valid UK driving license and your own car - business mileage is reimbursed. (This is not a work-from-home role.) With 28 days annual leave including England bank holidays. We don’t have the usual 'us' and 'them' culture because our engineers get involved in every area of IT, so sometimes a 3rd Line engineer is on the Support Desk whilst a 2nd Line engineer is out doing a project or a site visit and vice-versa. You would have the option to join the on-call rota if desired, shared with other engineers, with escalation to a 3rd-Line engineer. If you have previous experience of providing IT support and services to the hospitality industry this would be advantageous. Experience of installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows desktops and applications is essential. Knowledge of troubleshooting Windows servers, HyperV, ESXi, Mitel and 3CX, networking and hotel systems is useful but by no means essential. The hospitality industry is all about providing good customer service, and that’s exactly the same for us too, so you would need to share this same positive customer-focused ethos. More about your role As our newly created Head of Operational Optimisation, you will lead the development of smarter, data-led ways of managing resources and operating costs across Places Leisure. You will improve labour planning, scheduling and forecasting, helping to ensure the right Colleagues and resources are in the right place at the right time to deliver operational and commercial goals. Working closely with operational leaders, Finance and central teams, you will identify efficiencies, reduce avoidable spend and develop practical plans that protect the Customer experience. You will also support refits, bids and growth opportunities by creating robust cost models and ensuring investment decisions are based on realistic resource and payback assumptions. Please note that this role involves frequent travel to our Leisure sites, typically 2 to 3 days per week. Essential criteria • Significant experience in labour planning, workforce management, operational performance, commercial finance, cost transformation or operational efficiency within a complex, multi-site organisation., • Demonstrable experience of forecasting operational demand and translating it into practical labour plans, hours and costs., • Experience analysing labour and non-labour P&L performance, identifying cost drivers and turning findings into measurable action plans., • Practical experience using DILO, time and motion studies or equivalent methods to assess operational activity, capacity and efficiency., • Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel and Power BI to build models, tools and reporting that support commercial and operational decision-making. Desirable Criteria • Ideally you will come from a leisure, retail or hospitality background. More about you You will combine strong analytical ability with commercial awareness and an understanding of budgets, forecasts, payback and cost-to-serve measures. You can build practical models and reporting, explain complex information clearly and influence senior stakeholders, including at Director level. Comfortable working across Operations, Finance, Technology, Product, Customer Service and Business Development, you will be confident challenging assumptions and helping leaders take action. You will also be curious about new technology, external insight and simpler ways of working that can improve productivity and support growth. A DBS check is not required for this role.
