We are seeking a personable and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to actively lead on the implementation of clinical governance and assurance frameworks within the hospital. This position will play a pivotal role in overseeing quality assurance and ensuring that compliance with all healthcare regulatory requirements is embedded in both clinical and non-clinical teams and in the on-going development of our world class patient care. We require an individual who can ensure that the best practice standards become part of the day-to-day business for the Welbeck site, through collaboration, partnership and close working relationships with leadership and core teams. You will be supported by the Clinical Services Director but will also work closely with the Registered Manager, as well as working with the Welbeck Health Group Chief Clinical Officer, Clinical Quality Team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to implement specific projects for compliance and improvement. Programme development, management and administration • Ideating new programmes and events, assessing programme needs with line manager and others, • Researching and contacting prospective speakers for our programmes and events, • Timetabling and scheduling of sessions online and offline, • Setting up online sessions and offline classroom premises when appropriate, • Preparing and processing all related paperwork, • Ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the programmes, • Maintaining and updating database as requested, • Taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of overall programme lines (with particular responsibilities for specific programmes) and being responsible for the final outcomes., • You will take ownership of more complex courses, or new courses which require new processes and procedures to be set up., • Liaising with our market team to understand their needs and to propose programme plans, • Working independently or/and jointly with team members to develop and deliver the complete portfolio of clients’ new project initiatives from start to finish, • Exploring and contracting tutors and speakers for specific topics, • With support from the Marketing team, preparing and updating the content of promotional and other publicity material (e.g. brochures) and providing general support for course promotion., • Creating course handbooks and syllabi to be sent to students, • Proofreading any course materials, • Creating and developing written promotional materials; developing new market leads, • Preparing written certificates, transcripts and other reports consisting of qualitative and quantitative data related to programme activities Student Support • Being responsible for preparing, organising and populating programme documents with up-to-date materials and information, ensuring accuracy, clarity and consistency in content, • Communicating clearly and in an engaging manner with the students, primarily through WeChat, • Interviewing prospective students for our courses Communications • Consistently demonstrating a ‘can do’ approach to work and self-motivate to achieve high quality standards., • Build effective and positive relationships with key stakeholders, both within and outside the OPP, and ensure good lines of communications with our speakers, external collaborators and suppliers, and academic institutions and others, to build a stronger profile and reputation for OPP, • Working in collaboration with the Operations Team in daily management of the team, and providing general support to the Director, as required., • Representing and managing the public face of OPP, including the website and news announcements, along with supporting communications in promoting the work and successes of the group., • General programme administration SKILLS: Essential: • Strong administrative and management experience in an educational setting, • Ability to work calmly under pressure, prioritising work and meeting deadlines, • Excellent computer skills, • Attention to detail and record-keeping, • Pro-active and ‘can-do’ attitude, • Clear interpersonal and communication skills, • Min. 2 years of management experience at similar level, • Master’s degree (or BA degree + significant experience) Desirable: • Experience working with international participants and students, • Good understanding of short course programmes, university summer schools, university teacher training, academic writing in Higher Education context, • Good knowledge of Oxbridge system and tutorial teaching Benefits: • Dining rights and lunch allowance at our workplace canteen on the days you are in the office, with a cap of £10 daily spend (amounting to over £2,000 annually), • Company Events including Dinners, Social Activities. About the role Hear from the Hiring Manager: The Harwell site, situated just south of Oxford, and the Winfrith site in Dorset are the former research sites supporting nuclear power generation. Both sites are now in the decommissioning phase, with the priority being to remove the legacy waste, demolition and deconstruction of the majority of the buildings and facilities, to ultimately return the sites back to green field status and re-use. Could you be our next Senior Safety Case Engineer? You'll deliver nuclear safety cases and associated documentation supporting the fast-moving nuclear decommissioning projects across the Harwell and Winfrith sites, as well as general site safety case requirements (e.g. Periodic Safety Review). Every project at NRS has unique and interesting challenges requiring sound judgement, teamwork and project delivery excellence. Many of our projects are world first decommissioning challenges and attract interest from the wider decommissioning community. Some examples include - the retrieval and processing for long term disposal of historic research waste at Harwell and the decommissioning of the world's first high temperature helium cooled reactor using laser cutting and remote operations at Winfrith. Key Deliverables: Determine strategies for individual Safety Cases acting as Safety Case Project Manager, Author or Verifier where nominated. Write and/or verify complex Safety Cases in accordance with Company Standards. Maintain the various safety cases, across the Harwell and Winfrith sites and support the modifications process. Manage the production of Safety Cases and deliverables being provided by others as input to the Safety Cases. Qualifications & Experience: Essential: - A degree or equivalent NQF level 6 qualification in a suitable technical subject, e.g. mechanical engineering / physics. Detailed knowledge of modern standards of safety case production and processes within the nuclear industry. Detailed knowledge of safety case processes and applications relevant to a nuclear decommissioning site (e.g. fault schedule production, ALARP justification, etc.) Experience of safety case project and/or resource management. Detailed understanding of engineering safety and the derivation of Safety Functional Requirements. Detailed understanding of Site Licence Conditions, and Statutory and Mandatory Requirements. Knowledge of safety case management processes e.g. Safety case production, verification, INSA, implementation etc. Environmental awareness. Desirable: - Membership of an appropriate scientific or engineering institution. Understanding of site emergency procedures, operating constraints and limits, rules and site standards and procedures. Understanding of Site quality management systems.
