Technical Coordinator (Hazardous Waste) Wakefield, West Yorkshire £-Attractive salary plus benefits Our client is one of the UK’s leading waste and resource management companies, with over 200 facilities and 4,200 employees across the UK. A vacancy currently exists for a Technical Coordinator to work within the company’s successful waste treatment division at a hazardous waste treatment and transfer facility in Wakefield. You will manage and undertake, with a small team, the technical assessment of hazardous waste enquiries. This includes negotiating with customers and third-party disposers, preparing transportation documentation, collating site records and producing accurate data for invoicing, ensuring all activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Candidate Requirements: • Degree in chemistry or a related subject, • Experience within the hazardous waste treatment or chemical industry, • DGSA qualification (or willingness to achieve), • COTC in Hazardous Treatment desirable, • Strong IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office, • Transport administration experience or CPC in Road Haulage Operations desirable, • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex technical information, • Customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills, • Clean full driving licence is an advantage.
