Role: Quality Engineer Status: Permanent Working hours: 07:45 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:45 – 12:30 Friday Location: Staverton, Gloucestershire Salary: up to £55,000 per annum A fantastic role has come up with my Gloucester-based client, a global engineering business, they are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their skilled team. The successful candidate for the Quality Engineer role will Monitor, assess and report on quality of product and processes, ensuring manufacturing processes are performed correctly and in line with required standards and specifications within the aerospace and defence sectors. Key Responsibilities – Quality Engineer • Improvement of compliance and quality of products/services., • Monitor, test and report on quality of product and processes, ensuring manufacturing processes are performed correctly and identifying non-conformances and improvement opportunities., • Review, improvement, design and implementation of standard operating procedures and processes to ensure that products meet required specification and customer expectations., • Carry out root cause analysis, problem solving and implement correction and corrective actions., • Support deployment of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies within the Business, • Drive NCR’s close out in a timely manner with stakeholders across the business., • Drive Zero Non-conformance and Right First Time Culture using recognized techniques., • Conduct Internal / External Quality & Compliance audits., • Provide Quality data / reports, • Maintain relevant quality documentation., • Minimum HNC Qualified (Quality or Manufacturing Engineering)., • Knowledge of aerospace and defence sector requirements., • Minimum Quality Management Diploma., • Trained in Root Cause Analysis techniques., • Minimum Trained Internal Auditor., • Lead Auditor (beneficial)., • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, • Ability to understand and interpret customer specifications, • Knowledge of QC processes and inspection criteria, • Able to identify and resolve problems using a structured and data driven approach, • Training/Experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies is beneficial, • Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS), • Application of measurement, analysis or continuous improvement tools, • PC literate, • Ability to obtain UK SC clearance, • Competitive salary, • 25 days holiday (+ Bank holidays), • Challenging projects in dynamic collaborative team, • Progression opportunities and ongoing training Candidates who are currently a Quality technician, Quality inspector or Supplier Quality Engineer may be suitable for this position For details of other opportunities available within your chosen field please visit our website
