Role: Lead embedded firmware engineer Experience: 10 years experience Salary: genuinely competitive start date: Jan 2025 onwards Location: Scottish based company but the company offer remote work with occasional trips to site This is a very exciting start-up who are hugely ambitious and looking for a senior embedded engineer who can work on a wearable device. The ideal engineer will have experience of mass consumer production and worked on screens or displays. This wearable device is due to launch in 2026 and we need you! Job Description: You will initially work with two senior firmware engineers who have developed firmware to date, contributing to new features. Our firmware is built with C++. As your familiarity with the codebase grows, you will assume leadership of our firmware roadmap. Running on an STM32 microcontroller, our firmware is built on top of a customised version of FreeRTOS, and is divided into a kernel and applications, you will contribute to both the kernel and application development. You will also work closely with our in-house team of electronics engineers, mechanical engineers and product designers, as well as our mobile development partners.
