Our client is a well-established and growing organisation within the Accounting and Taxation industry, looking to recruit a Practice Accountant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical skills and a keen eye for detail to develop within a supportive and progressive environment. The Role You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting a range of accounting activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Duties will include: • Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process, • Reconciling bank accounts, sales taxes, and payroll taxes monthly, • Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, • Preparing small company accounts in line with FRS 102, • Completing VAT returns using Xero and similar systems, • Managing payroll processes using BrightPay and Payroll Manager., • Handling general administrative duties, including emails and phone enquiries Requirements Essential • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or a related field, • Strong working knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • High level of accuracy and attention to detail Desirable • Experience using BrightPay AND Payroll Manager, • Familiarity with FRS 102 small company accounts preparation, • Relevant higher education qualification What’s in It For You • 20 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays, • NEST pension scheme, • Potential end-of-year bonus based on company performance, • Clear opportunities for progression within a growing organisation.
