Site Agent – Civil Engineering (North West Projects) A well-established national Tier 2 Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join its North West division, delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects across the region. The role will support the successful delivery of Highways, Utilities, Flood Alleviation, and Public Realm schemes across multiple frameworks. Project Types Include: Highways & Local Authority Roads 278 Works & Junction Improvement Schemes Public Realm & Urban Realm Upgrades Utilities & Water Infrastructure Projects EA Flood Alleviation & Flood Defence Schemes Deep Drainage & Groundworks Reinforced Concrete Structures Site Infrastructure & Associated Civils Works Role & Responsibilities: • Day-to-day management of site operations across civil engineering projects, • Leading and coordinating site teams including Site Engineers, Foremen, and subcontractors, • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to specification, • Overseeing multiple concurrent work packages across highways, drainage, and structures, • Managing programme delivery, short-term planning, and resource allocation, • Ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality standards, • Reviewing and approving RAMS, ITPs, and construction methodologies, • Liaising with clients, including local authorities, Environment Agency representatives, and utility stakeholders, • Monitoring progress, producing accurate site reports, and maintaining project documentation, • Coordinating plant, materials, procurement, and logistics across site operations, • Supporting commercial teams with change management, variations, and cost awareness, • Driving productivity and maintaining strong communication across all project stakeholders Candidate Requirements: • Proven experience as a Site Agent or Senior Site Engineer ready to step up, • Strong background in civil engineering, ideally across highways, drainage, and structures, • Experience delivering 278 works, junction upgrades, or local authority frameworks is highly desirable, • Exposure to utilities, flood alleviation, or water infrastructure projects advantageous, • SMSTS (essential or working towards), • CSCS Black Card (or equivalent management qualification), • Temporary Works awareness and strong understanding of construction methodology, • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, • Strong understanding of health & safety in live highway and public environments, • Ability to manage multiple priorities across fast-paced project environments, • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the North West What’s on Offer: • Competitive salary of £55,000 – £65,000 (DOE), • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance, • Pension scheme, holiday entitlement, and additional company benefits, • Strong pipeline of secured regional work across North West frameworks, • Clear progression opportunities into Project Manager level, • Exposure to a wide variety of major civil engineering and infrastructure schemes
