My client is looking for a commercially driven General Manager to take full ownership of a regional operation—leading performance, growing revenue, and building a high-performing field team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on accountability, enjoys being close to customers, and knows how to turn operational activity into real commercial results. You will be responsible for: Driving Regional Growth • Own and deliver regional revenue and growth targets, • Increase service, van jobs, and supply-only revenue, • Build and convert a strong pipeline of new business opportunities Customer Growth & Account Management • Develop and manage key regional accounts (top 10–20 customers), • Build strong, lasting relationships through regular engagement, • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across existing customers, • Actively win new business through structured outreach and site visits Leading & Developing Your Team • Manage, coach, and motivate a team of field engineers, • Drive productivity, utilisation, and performance, • Run regular 1:1s and build a strong, positive team culture Delivering Outstanding Customer Experience • Ensure consistent, high-quality service across all interactions, • Balance commercial focus with long-term relationship building, • Represent the business with professionalism and accountability Operational Leadership • Maintain strong control of regional operations and performance metrics, • Delegate effectively to protect time for leadership and growth, • Drive structure, discipline, and continuous improvement What Success Looks Like • High engineer utilisation and strong daily job volumes, • Growth in regional revenue and customer spend, • Consistent new business wins, • Engaged, high-performing team with low attrition, • Strong customer retention and satisfaction What We are Looking For • Proven experience in a commercial, regional, or operational leadership role, • Strong background in account management, business development, or sales growth, • Experience managing field-based teams or engineers, • Engineering background required, with hydraulic or heavy plant knowledge highly preferred, • A natural relationship builder with a proactive mindset, • Comfortable balancing strategy and day-to-day operations 💡 Why This Role? • Full ownership of your region and its performance, • A blend of leadership, commercial growth, and operational control, • The opportunity to build something, not just manage it and be part of a very fast growing business, • A fast-paced, results-driven environment where impact is visible
