As our Cost Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate, competitive prime costs and high-quality tenders. Your Responsibilities\n\n • Lead and Inspire: Develop the cost engineering team to achieve sales and gross profit targets.\n, • Ensure Compliance: Maintain consistent pricing across all pre-construction activities in line with company processes.\n, • Strategize Pricing: Collaborate with Pre-Construction Leads to define pricing strategies focused on profit and client value.\n, • Monitor Progress: Report monthly on tenders and PCSA activities, including necessary mitigation actions.\n, • Collaborate: Work with various teams to shape and communicate tender pricing strategies.\n, • Deliver Cost Planning: Provide effective cost planning services and maintain accurate historic cost data.\n, • Market Insight: Stay updated on market pricing, competition, and key stakeholders.\n, • Validate Quotations: Work with Procurement to ensure optimal buying strategies and supply chain compliance.\n, • Ensure Handover: Organize thorough handovers of winning bids to Operations post-contract award.\n, • Maintain Confidentiality: Uphold the highest levels of commercial confidentiality in all aspects of your role.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n, • Strong management experience or a background as a Senior Estimator on MEP projects.\n, • Experience leading cost engineering or estimating teams is a plus.\n, • Exceptional commercial and financial acumen with the ability to influence at all levels.\n, • Proven experience in cost planning, pricing strategy, and risk management.\n, • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain best practices.\n, • Evidence of Design and Commercial training (essential).\n, • Management training and Health & Safety training (essential).\n, • Professional Management qualification (desirable).\n, • Qualifications in Design and/or Commercial disciplines (desirable).\nWhat We Offer\n\n, • 25 days of holiday per year, plus bank holidays.\n, • Pension plan with up to 8% employer contribution.\n, • Private healthcare coverage.\n, • Free 24/7 Employee Assistance Program for mental health and wellbeing support.\n, • Exclusive discounts and flexible benefits.\n, • A personal development program tailored to your growth.\n, • Car/Car Allowance.\nNext Steps\n We’re committed to fostering a culture of inclusion, fairness, and respect.
