The Project Engineering Manager has the role of Principal Designer Lead on the projects and is responsible for ensuring that SPR fulfils the duties of a Principal Designer (PD) under the CDM 2015 Regulations. Working as part of the Design Assurance team, the CDM PD Coordinator will be key in supporting the Engineering Manager in fulfil this remit. The CDM PD Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring the development of the design ensuring CDM compliance (PD approach) throughout the lifecycle of the project, where hazard identification and safety is a priority. They must ensure that all Designers working on the project comply with their duties under CDM ensuring that they co-operate with each other and liaise with the Principal Contractor (PC) for the duration of the project. In addition to specific CDM related tasks, the CDM PD Coordinator will also work closely with the wider Engineering Management and Design Assurance team to support workstreams related to design assurance, certification and interface management. To successfully fulfil this remit, the successful candidate should have extensive experience in project engineering and design coordination roles, in addition to a good working knowledge of CDM. Ideally, this experience will be within the Offshore Wind sector.
