The Role You’ll support young people in their day today life, helping them feel safe, settled and understood. This includes following care plans, supporting routines, spending time together in a normal home environment, and working through difficult moments in a safe, steady and respectful way. This is hands on, relational work. It suits people who are comfortable sitting with challenge and who understand that progress isn’t always quick or neat. Essential Requirements: • A minimum of 2 year’s experience working within a CAMHS setting (applications without this will not be accepted – alternative roles are available), • Clear, fluent spoken and written English, due to the child’s communication needs Key Responsibilities Include: • Building strong rapport and relational safety with the young person, • Delivering care in line with care plans, assessments, and PBS, • Supporting daily routines, personal care, and activities of daily living, • Planning and engaging in developmentally appropriate activities, • Supporting community access and encouraging independence, • Maintaining accurate and detailed care notes, • Using a strengths-based, therapeutic approach at all times A Level 3 qualification is desirable, but the right experience, attitude, and commitment to improving young people’s lives are essential. This is not a routine residential role. It is a high-support, safeguarding-led placement requiring outstanding practice, consistent boundaries, calm decision-making, and a strong understanding of trauma-informed care. You will work within structured plans and risk management strategies, supporting the child to achieve safety, stability, and progress, whilst delivering care that meets the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.
