Job Role: Fabric Sales Assistant Position Summary: As a Fabric Sales Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operations of a fabric or textile retail environment. Your primary responsibility is to assist customers with product selection, provide knowledgeable recommendations, and help maintain an organized, welcoming store atmosphere. This role also includes basic cleaning duties to ensure the sales floor is tidy and presentable at all times. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Customer Service Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner. Understand fabric types, uses, and care instructions to provide accurate information. Help customers select fabrics based on their needs (e.g. sewing, upholstery, fashion). Cut fabric to specific lengths using measuring tools with accuracy. Handle sales transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Stock Management Restock shelves and fabric displays. Organize fabric rolls or bolts according to color, type, or size. Assist with inventory checks and stockroom organization. Cleaning & Store Maintenance Keep the sales floor clean, including sweeping, dusting, and wiping down counters. Ensure cutting tables and equipment are clean and free of fabric debris. Tidy displays and keep fabrics neatly folded or rolled. Empty bins and dispose of fabric scraps or waste appropriately. Maintain a clean and safe work environment for both staff and customers. Skills and Requirements: Basic knowledge of fabrics and textiles (training will be provided). Strong communication and customer service skills. Attention to detail, especially when measuring and cutting fabric. Ability to stand for long periods and lift rolls of fabric when needed. A proactive attitude toward cleaning and store upkeep.

Blinds and Shutters Installer, would ideally suit someone with Joinery skills. We are looking for an experienced installer/fitter to join our installation team, based in Ruislip, Middlesex and covering local areas including home counties around the North-West side of the M25, with travel mostly within 1 hour from our office. Company vehicle provided, along with a phone/tablet for customer and colleague communication. This position would suit somebody who is experienced and comfortable working on their own as well as being part of a small and growing team. We are looking for someone with a high level of skill and a positive can-do attitude who will work efficiently and to a high standard at all times. Previous experience in the blinds and shutters industry is very useful but not essential depending on skillset and background. Previous experience of practical skills is essential, as well as the ability to deal with customers and technical know-how. SALARY: £25,000 - £40,000 Depending on Experience SKILLS: Someone with good technical and practical ability, particularly the ability to measure and survey accurately Able to install accurately and finish to a high standard overcoming challenges where necessary Good communicator - offer excellent customer service both face to face and over the phone and communicate effectively with the rest of the team Able to use ladders and steps, hand tools, power tools and carry some heavier items Competent in basic modern IT software and applications. About the Role We are looking for a Home Collection Driver to join our growing team. As the face of TRAID on the road, you will be responsible for collecting donations directly from homes and businesses across London. This role is hands-on, physically engaging, and offers plenty of variety - no two shifts are the same, and our donors will rely on your help in lots of different ways. Each day, you’ll be assigned a route with 20 to 35 collections. We’ll invest in you by offering fully paid, comprehensive training to ensure you’re confident in TRAID’s collection systems and procedures. In return, we expect you take pride in your work and consistently strive for excellence. Main Responsibilities: • Collect donations from homes across London as per your scheduled route, • Accurately record collection details on a PDA provided by TRAID, • Unload the collected items safely and securely at our Alperton Warehouse, always following manual handling guidelines and health and safety policies, • Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical upkeep of the company vehicle, reporting any necessary maintenance to your line manager, • Provide an energetic and customer-focused approach, aiming to deliver excellent service to donors and ensure a positive experience. This includes answering any questions they may have and calling donors in advance of the collection. Requirements: Experience- 12 months van driving/multi-drop delivery experience preferred (but not essential). Full training will be provided Full UK driving licence - with no more than 6 points and no driving bans in the last 5 years Physical fitness – You will be active, handling donation bags weighing up to 20kg Flexibility – Shifts can vary, so we’re looking for team players with a can-do attitude who are ready to tackle challenges, even on short notice!
