As Curator (European Art) your will support the research of the 8,000 European art objects held at Glasgow Life Museums and Collections. This post is full-time based at Glasgow Museums Resource Centre and working across our other museum venues including Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and The Burrell Collection. What you need to know Who can apply: Hours: 35 hours per week. Contract type: Location: As a Curator (European Art), you’ll be a part of an established team, reporting to the Senior Curator. You’ll play an essential role in researching and documenting the European Art collection and developing content for public programming. You will develop and manage the delivery of displays, publications and other collections-related projects. Glasgow Life Museums has an internationally significant collection of European art. The collection comprises of paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture from the period 1200 to 1960 including works from the Italian Renaissance, 19th century French Impressionism, and Dutch, and Spanish Old Masters. We take a broad view of Europe and the successful candidate will be expected to be an active participant in our legacies of slavery and empire initiatives. Project Engineer - Solar PV Projects Location: 100% Remote Employment: Contract Duration: 9 Months Role Purpose The Project Engineer is responsible for the technical development, design, and execution of solar PV projects, both Behind-the-Meter (BtM) and Grid Connected (GC) across all project stages. This role ensures that projects are engineered to meet performance, safety, and quality standards, supporting the organization’s mission to deliver reliable, efficient, and innovative renewable energy solutions. 1. Project Engineering Across All Stages Development Stage: • Provide technical input for site assessments, feasibility studies, and conceptual designs., • Support the preparation of technical documentation for permitting and grid connection applications., • Collaborate with development, commercial, and external partners to optimize project layouts and technology selection. Design Stage: • Lead the review of the detailed engineering design performed by third parties, including electrical, mechanical, civil, and communication aspects., • Coordinate with internal and external designers/advisors, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and best practices., • Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and BoQs for procurement and construction. Qualification criteria • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or related field), • +3 years of experience in solar PV project engineering (BtM and/or Grid Connected), • Proficient in PVSyst and CAD software such as AutoCAD, BricsCAD, PVCase, etc., • Must have worked on similar UK solar PV projects., • Experience with BESS will be positively considered., • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and permitting processes., • English fluent is mandatory; other languages such as Swedish or Spanish are desirable., • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
