We are looking for an experienced and driven Software Project Manager to join our Programme Management Office (PMO). Reporting to the Director of Product & Programmes, you will take ownership of complex, cross-functional software projects from initiation through to successful delivery. \n \n This is a senior, high-visibility role. You will partner with colleagues across Engineering, Product, Sales, and Marketing, and engage regularly with C-Suite sponsors and external stakeholders. You will bring structure, pace, and clarity to ambitious projects, holding teams accountable while maintaining a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. \n \n Key Responsibilities \n Project Delivery \n\n • Lead end-to-end delivery of software projects, from scoping and kick-off through to effective handover and benefits realisation.\n, • Define project charters and plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and communication strategy.\n, • Track and report on milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, and change requests, escalating proactively where needed.\n, • Facilitate Project Definition Workshops, steering groups, and regular project reviews.\n, • Ensure all project documentation is complete, current, and stored in line with PMO standards.\n\n \n Stakeholder & Team Leadership \n\n • Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications, keeping stakeholders informed and engaged at every stage.\n, • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams through matrix management, creating clarity around roles, priorities, and expectations.\n, • Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Commercial teams to align project delivery with business goals.\n, • Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party suppliers and partners.\n\n \n Governance & Reporting \n\n • Manage project budgets and controls, identifying variances early and recommending corrective actions.\n, • Produce high-quality dashboards, status reports, and executive presentations that drive informed decision-making.\n, • Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO methodologies, tools, and best practices.\n, • Support portfolio-level visibility across multiple parallel projects, providing the Head of Programme Management with timely and accurate insight.\n\n \n Skills and Experience \n Essential \n\n • 5+ years of project management experience in a software or technology-led environment.\n, • A degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).\n, • Proven ability to operate effectively within complex programme management environments, building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to ensure alignment, satisfaction, and delivery of strategic objectives.\n, • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, on budget, and to scope in fast-paced organisations.\n, • Fluency across both Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall delivery methodologies, with the judgement to apply the right approach.\n, • Experience managing stage-gate processes and governance frameworks.\n, • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and present at C-Suite level.\n, • Strong commercial acumen, comfortable owning project budgets and making data-driven decisions under pressure.\n\n \n Desirable \n\n • PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, or equivalent project management certification.\n, • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile qualification.\n, • Experience delivering consumer electronics projects spanning software and hardware.\n, • Hands-on experience managing multidisciplinary development teams (Cloud, UI/App, Firmware).\n, • Exposure to ODM, OEM, or CEM manufacturing environments.\n\n \n Salary and Benefits \n\n • Competitive salary\n, • Salary Sacrifice Schemes\n, • Family Private Medical Insurance (Medical History Disregarded) and Medicash Health Cash Plan\n, • Employee Assistance Program\n, • Life Assurance\n, • Company Pension\n, • Charity Days\n, • 25 Days Annual Leave, Plus Bank Holidays\n, • Birthday Leave\n\n
