Join Our Growing Production Team! We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Area Operator / Production Supervisor to join our fast-paced food production environment. The Role As an Area Operator / Production Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across production, packing, and warehousing. You will work closely with the production team to ensure production plans are met, efficiency is maintained, and quality standards are upheld. This is a hands-on leadership role, where you will lead by example while supporting and supervising your team throughout the shift. Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations • Work as part of the production line team while supervising daily activities, • Ensure smooth interaction between warehouse and production teams, • Coordinate prep, packing, and warehousing to meet production plans and customer orders, • Monitor production efficiency and help minimise downtime, • Ensure recipes, SOPs, and batch controls are followed correctly, • Support the Production Manager with ongoing process improvements, • Supervise stock checks and monitor inventory accuracy, • Ensure equipment is operated correctly and routine checks are completed, • Maintain high hygiene and operational standards Team Leadership • Supervise, support, and motivate staff throughout the shift, • Promote a positive and proactive team culture, • Support the Production Manager with data input and reporting systems, • Report maintenance issues quickly to minimise disruption Quality & Compliance • Ensure team members comply with the company Quality Management System (QMS), • Report non-conformances and product deviations promptly, • Monitor batch consistency and ensure ingredients are correctly used and traceable, • Carry out product checks including temperature, pH, weight, and organoleptic testing, • Support internal audits and corrective actions Health & Safety • Carry out scheduled risk assessments, • Deliver health and safety training to team members, • Report accidents, incidents, or near misses promptly, • Ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times About You We are looking for someone who is practical, organised, and confident leading a team in a production environment.
