Reporting to the General Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following: Proactively uncover new prospects for the hotel and maximise conversion of new business. Responsible for the conversion of the hotel’s new business pipeline across all market segments and heavily assist in converting enquiries and achieving our annual budget. Build and grow the relationships with our key clients. Respond to corporate RFPs and contract corporate accounts. Complete all re-negotiation and re-contracting of annual rate agreements to ensure that new contracts are in line with the hotels’ agreed financial KPI’s. Investigate new areas of business in terms of market development into new territories and market segments to quantifiable targets. Analyse the local market trends and competitor activity to identify hotel leads. Production and delivery of the sales performance reports (versus targets, KPI’s and overall sales objectives) Take responsibility for an allocated portfolio of LNR accounts, undertaking complete account management responsibilities for maintaining, developing, and maximizing opportunities for the hotels and group where appropriate, achieving individual targets set for the year. Host clients, arrange FAM trips and attend networking events, corporate travel, and industry events on behalf of the hotel to gain knowledge and new business. Ensure effective communication with other hotel departments to enable the smooth operation of in-house groups and functions. Support in the completion of the monthly consolidated board sales packs and the monthly commercial reviews with the Senior leadership team. Input enquiries into SalesForce and ensure the system is continuously updated. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU To succeed in the role of our Director of Sales, you will need the following qualities and skills: A track record of sales achievement with at least 1 years’ experience in the service and hospitality industry is essential for this role. Strong strategic planning skills, with the ability to look ahead and put strategies in place to support the plans. A degree of knowledge of all market segments i.e., corporate, conference. Exceptional communication, organisational and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
