What Youβll Be Doing: β’ Creating and delivering a dynamic PE curriculum thatβs inclusive, engaging, and tailored to our learnersβ individual needs., β’ Working collaboratively with curriculum and subject leads to ensure a joined-up, impactful learning journey across the school., β’ Inspiring students to explore new sports, challenge themselves, and grow in confidence β on and off the pitch., β’ Contributing to school life as a motivator, role model, and leader β inside and outside the classroom. Essential Requirements: β’ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), β’ Confidence in teaching two subject areas β variety is the spice of school life!, β’ Full UK Driving Licence, β’ Some experience of line managing staff or supporting colleagues., β’ A genuine enthusiasm to engage in middle leadership activities like curriculum scrutiny and team development., β’ A strong understanding of the national curriculum, and how to adapt it for learners with SEN. Longdon Park School opened in June 2015. We are a co-educational day school catering for pupils aged 7 to 18 with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour primarily with a diagnosis of ASD. We provide a therapeutic, supportive and inclusive learning environment where our young people learn to accept responsibility for their actions, make positive decisions and display pro-social behaviour. We are committed to raising achievement and enabling pupils to recognise their potential and supporting them through a personalised, engaging curriculum. Our priority is to develop the foundation knowledge and skills required to make a manageable and smooth transition to the next life stage. Longdon Park School is not readily accessible by public transport. For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
