Role: AOG Specialist Location: Heathrow, London Department: Operations / Time-Critical Logistics Employment Type: Full-time Reporting to: AOG Operations Manager / Operations Director About the Role We are seeking a highly responsive and commercially minded AOG (Aircraft on Ground) Specialist to join our industry leading client. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating time-critical, aircraft-on-ground movements, ensuring aircraft parts, tooling and critical components are collected, transported and delivered safely and within demanding deadlines. This is a fast-paced role where minutes matter. You will act as a key point of contact for customers, airlines, MROs, freight forwarders, suppliers and transport partners, taking ownership of shipments from initial request through to final delivery. Key Responsibilities: • Manage AOG and other highly time-critical transport requests from start to finish., • Coordinate urgent collections and deliveries, • Monitor shipments continuously and provide proactive updates to customers., • Identify and resolve delays, disruptions and operational issues quickly., • Coordinate out-of-hours, overnight, weekend and holiday movements when required., • Ensure accurate handovers between shifts and operational teams. Essential Skills: • Previous experience within AOG, aviation logistics, freight forwarding, courier or time-critical transport., • Strong understanding of the urgency and service expectations associated with aircraft-on-ground movements., • Experience coordinating transport under significant time pressure., • Previous experience working for a Freight Forwarder

Job Description – Assistant Transport Manager At Tomato Plant is a haulage and infrastructure maintenance company and are proud of our attainment of FORs Gold and commitment to our clients and delivering work at a very high standard. This is allowing us to build an expanding client base and expand our fleet and personnel. As such we are looking to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Manager to support the Transport Management team in overseeing daily fleet operations, repairs and servicing, compliance, and driver management. This role is critical in ensuring smooth logistics, regulatory adherence, and cost-effective transport services. This is an ideal position for a recently qualified CPC holder with a bias on fleet condition, repairs and maximising utilization availability. The role will work closely with our FORS and compliance Manager. The Key Responsibilities • Monitor vehicle maintenance, repair rectification, defect reporting, MOTs, PMI planning, and ensure compliance with legal requirements., • Supervise drivers regarding compliance, track working hours, monitor infringements, and promote safe driving practices., • Support cost control initiatives by reducing non-contract maintenance and damage costs., • Provide operational reports and support audits when required., • Undertake accident investigations and reporting. Skills & Qualifications • Hold a CPC qualification with a strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements., • Experience with HGV fleet repairs, defect resolution and maintenance planning, • Excellent organizational and leadership skills., • Strong communication skills for liaising with managers, drivers, and customers., • IT proficiency in Microsoft office suite; logistics and fleet management software. Experience Requirements • Minimum 2 years in transport/logistics in a supervisory or transport management role., • Understanding of Road Haulage Operations and compliance to surrounding legislation would be essential., • Holding either HGV class 1 or 2 desirable., • Familiarity with compliance audits and operational reporting., • Proven ability to support large-scale fleet operations, often in 24/7 environments.
