Position: CCTV Operative /Drainage Engineer Location:Hampshire Depot, Thornham Waste Water Treatment Works, Thornham Lane, Southbourne, Emsworth, PO10 8DD Join Our Team as an HGV Tanker Driver / Drainage Engineer We are currently seeking experienced and motivated HGV Class 1 & 2 Drivers to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, varied role combining driving with drainage engineering, offering excellent earning potential, job security, and long-term career opportunities. Working Hours • Monday to Friday: 6:00am 4:00pm (50-hour week), • Regular overtime opportunities, including evenings, nights, and weekends, • Flexible working structure:, • Can work up to 12 consecutive working days, followed by a mandatory 48-hour rest period, • Working pattern aligned to an 18/6 schedule (up to 18-hour shifts including breaks, followed by 6 hours required downtime) Salary & Earning Potential • £13.45 per hour (£34,970 basic annual salary), • Overtime paid at £20.17 per hour (time and a half after 50 hours), • Significant earning potential through overtime can be £3k-5k+ monthly take home. But is dependent on the overtime you wish to do:, • Example: 25hours weekly overtime x£20.17=£504.25x 4weeks in the month=£2017-20% Tax=£1613.60 on top of your normal basic take home monthly. (Please note that if you are to hit the higher tax threshold you would end up paying more tax), • Night Work Bonus: £45 per shift, • Call-Out Bonuses: £30 per weekday & £45 per weekend day, • Length-of-service pay increases Benefits • Competitive salary with excellent overtime rates, • Company pension & death-in-service cover, • 20 days annual leave, increasing with service, • Bank holiday incentives (e.g. double pay, time in lieu, £75 bonus for 10-hour shifts rates may vary), • Holiday pay based on average earnings (including overtime), • Employee Assistance & wellbeing programme, • Full PPE provided, • Free on-site parking, • Referral programme, • Company events, • Modern, well-maintained equipment, • Flexible working opportunities, • Strong focus on health, safety, and employee wellbeing, • Long-term career progression and job security Key Responsibilities • Interpret survey results and prepare comprehensive condition reports to industry standards, • Undertake basic H&S vehicle checks at the start and finish of each shift, • Report all defects, accidents and near misses immediately to line manager, • Ensure all jobs are correctly documented with work tickets submitted at the end of each shift, • Maintain the drivers log book in compliance with MOT rules and procedures, • Ensure the condition of all issued personal protective clothing and equipment remains fit for purpose, clean and free from defects., • Keep the vehicle and equipment washed down on a weekly basis, free from rubbish., • Undertake ad-hoc duties as and when your vehicle is off the road or you are required to assist other field teams in exceptional circumstances, • Attend meetings, medical and training courses as required Requirements • Valid Drivers licence, • Ability to work independently and follow remote instructions, • Professional and courteous when dealing with customers and the public Desirable (Not Essential) • 7.5ton Licence desired, • Standpipe Usage Competency Training, • Sonde Certificate, • Experience in drainage, liquid waste, or environmental services, • Street works or high-pressure water jetting experience Training Provided-We invest in our team and provide full training, including: • First Aid, • Manual Handling, • Asbestos Awareness, • EUSR Water Hygiene Card (Blue), • EU Skills Card (Green), • Additional relevant safety and industry training JBRP1_UKTJ
