Job Description $20-$24/hr Job Title: Assembly Technician Job Description The Manufacturing Technician – Systems will be responsible for assembling build-to-order large electrical cabinets inclusive of various components such as Orion products, relays, knife switches, voltage monitors, ethernet switches, power distribution units, and surge suppressors, which will be used by electric utilities. We seek self-starters capable of delivering quality products within a goal-oriented and rewarding environment. Responsibilities • Read and understand schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine material requirements and assembly instructions., • Use power tools, hand tools, and soldering equipment to assemble cabinets., • Conceptualize end-products and measure precisely to meet quality specifications., • Manufacture wires and cables by cutting to length, tying for neatness, installing identification tags, routing in tubing or wire trays, installing covers and connectors, and correctly terminating., • Electrical assembly and wiring, • Blueprint and schematic reading, • Proficiency with hand and power tools, • Soldering skills, • 6+ months of relevant experience, • Electrical aptitude with wiring, wire stripping, reading electrical prints, and HVAC, • Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift, • Ability to lift 40+ pounds regularly Expect the opportunity to quickly learn and develop skills for professional growth in a stable work environment within an essential industry. This department is the largest and most complex within the facility, offering a dynamic work environment where you can be seated for portions of the job, along with standing and moving around as needed. The shift is 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
