Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 04/13/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs, • Hours: 36 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Apr 13, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Work setting is a 207-bed community hospital with a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center designation (no trauma designation, non-teaching), • Assigned to the 3N Medical Telemetry Renal Unit (31 beds), • Patient population includes end-stage renal disease, peritoneal dialysis, fluid overload, sickle cell, diabetes, altered mental status, cellulitis, diabetic ulcers, pancreatitis, and behavioral health, • RN-to-patient ratio is 1:5–6, with critical surge ratios up to 1:7–8, • 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 36 hours per week, • Every other weekend rotation required, • No on-call or call-back requirements, • Travelers are expected to work 75% of assigned holidays, • Floating is required to all units within scope at this facility, as well as to other facilities within the assigned regional division — candidates who are not agreeable to multi-facility floating should not apply, • EMR: Epic (experience preferred), • IV pumps: Alaris; medication dispensing: Omnicell; monitors: PhilipsRequirements, • Active NC or compact RN license currently in hand, • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, • Minimum 18 months of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience, with most recent experience within the last year, • Proficiency in general Med/Tele skills including cardiac rhythm interpretation, stroke care, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT/Dobhoff/PEG tube placement, drain management (Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals), foley insertion/management, and PCA pumps, • Experience managing medication drips including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IVF, • Candidate's permanent address must be more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted, • Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration, • At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, required for consideration, • Candidates who have worked a permanent position at any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligibleAdditional Information, • Home unit assignment is confirmed on the first day of orientation, • Orientation includes facility-level (NEO) and 2 days of departmental orientation, • Unit support includes CNAs, a receptionist/HUC, a charge nurse, phlebotomy, an IV/VAT team (11 AM–7 PM and 11 PM–7 AM), respiratory therapy (24/7), hospitalist (24/7), and intensivist coverage, • Schedule is posted on a 6-week cycle, • Up to 6 days of RTO may be approved, excluding holidays; any unmet contracted hours must be made up by extending the contract end date, • Scrub color: navy, • Parking is complimentary, • First-time travelers are not preferred but will be considered With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
