Job Description Position: IT Specialist Location: Houston, TX Reports to: Quality Manager Employment: Full-Time FLSA Status: Exempt WHO WE ARE Stasis Drilling Solutions, LLC is a privately held oilfield services (OFS) provider headquartered in in Houston, TX with operations throughout the lower 48 of the United States. job description We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Specialist to support and maintain all aspects of our organization’s IT infrastructure. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure the smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems while maintaining robust security throughout. The IT Specialist will also be responsible for implementing and managing disaster recovery and backup solutions, securing systems against cyber threats, and managing internal and cloud-based resources including SharePoint and structured data systems. The individual will also assist with hardware and software procurement, vendor coordination, and infrastructure documentation. The ideal candidate should have strong technical depth, critical thinking ability, a security-first mindset, and a commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies to help drive the organization’s IT capabilities forward. responsibilities *Not an all-inclusive list • Provide day-to-day IT support for all departments at Stasis Drilling Solutions., • Configure, maintain, and support Microsoft 365 services including:, • SharePoint online site architecture, permissions, retention policies, and governance, • OneDrive structure, synchronization policies, and file lifecycle controls, • Outlook and Exchange administration, • Design and maintain structured SharePoint and OneDrive environments to improve collaboration, document control, and security., • Maintain user access controls, MFA policies, and identity management standards, • Configure and maintain endpoint protection systems including ThreatDown (EDR/XDR), • Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats including phishing, ransomware, and suspicious endpoint activity, • Maintain hybrid and cloud-based backup systems and disaster recovery processes, • Perform periodic system audits including accounts, licensing, patching, endpoint, status, and asset inventory, • Maintain structured IT documentation including architecture diagrams, licensing records, hardware inventory, and security baselines, • Support Azure and hybrid workload environments, • Monitor and adjust system performance, maintain high availability, and troubleshoot issues promptly, • Support secure integration of cloud-based development tools and environments as needed, • Handle confidential information with discretion, • Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to promptly give and follow directions when working with others, • 5+ years of proven experience as an IT Specialist, Systems Administrator, or similar role., • Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Mac operating systems., • Proficiency in managing EDR/XDR, firewalls, MFA, and ransomware protection strategies., • Strong experience administering Microsoft 365, especially: SharePoint configuration and governance, OneDrive, • deployment and administration, and Exchange/Outlook administration, • Familiarity with software development environments and deployment support tools., • Experience with network infrastructure, including configuration, troubleshooting, VPN, and security., • Experience with on-prem and cloud-based backup systems and disaster recovery., • Experience supporting field and industrial hardware systems., • Strong documentation, inventory, and IT architecture mapping skills., • Ability to handle system performance monitoring and incident resolution., • Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills., • Excellent verbal and written communication., • Experience in IT management for operational or industrial environments., • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and hybrid infrastructure., • Familiarity with intrusion detection, log monitoring, and cloud security frameworks., • Experience deploying and maintaining CI/CD tools and cloud-based dev/test environments., • Track record of implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans., • Physical ability to:, • Lift and carry 15 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces, • Positions self to install equipment, including under desks., • Moves throughout the building to access files., • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer., • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance available, • 401k, • Earned Personal Time Off (PTO)
