Shop Truck Rebuild - Operations Manager About Santa Rita Fleet Repair, LLC Santa Rita Fleet Repair, LLC provides comprehensive in-shop fleet maintenance for our company-owned heavy-duty highway trucks. We offer all levels of truck PM maintenance services, truck repair, trailer repair, 24-hour emergency service, trailer damage repair, diesel engine repair and replacement, truck transmission repair and replacement, and federal DOT inspections. Job Summary We are looking for a Shop Manager / Truck Rebuilder and Technician to join our team! Help our mechanics perform comprehensive truck rebuilds, from suspension to engine, as well as maintenance and repairs on all types of commercial vehicles, utilizing a variety of tools and equipment. This hands-on manager position is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and auditing maintenance repairs, including preventative, mechanical, and electrical repairs to tractors, trucks, and trailers. You will be involved in the hiring, training, and ongoing development of technicians to ensure that our highly skilled workforce can meet customer expectations. Primary Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Oversees service and repair orders daily, • Drives the profitability and productivity of the team, • Maintains Customer Satisfaction scores at or above company standards, • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards, and ensures all work is performed in accordance with established safety procedures, • May assist in diagnosing vehicle problems, • May order parts and tools as necessary, • Oversees the administration of warranty claims, • Works with upper management to make service department hiring and discipline decisions, • Sets schedules and assigns tasks to service department employees, • Reinforces company policies and adheres to company standards, • Encourages compliance with applicable laws and regulations, • Provides the General Manager with timely reports, • Ensures revenue and profit margin goals are attained, • Maintains effective employee relations, • Ensures mechanics utilize a computer to complete and maintain repair or work orders, part requisitions, submit time sheets, and other records or tasks as required, • Required to be exposed to a physical environment that involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements often Minimum Qualifications: • Must have strong interpersonal skills to communicate with both internal and external clients effectively., • The candidate must be able to simultaneously handle a large and diverse number of projects, tasks, and issues with tact, cooperation, and persistence., • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing employees in a truck repair environment, • Ability and desire to work in a positive, fast-paced, and high-energy environment, • Graduate of an accredited high school or possess an equivalency diploma, • Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of employment and have a clean driving record, • Strong customer service and organizational skills required, • Computer skills, including the input of data into the fleet maintenance tracking database and the reporting of performance and financials, • Legally eligible to work in the United States, • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations, • Complete pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history, and motor vehicle record review, • CDL+ driver's license is preferred but not required, • $65,000 - 75,000 plus * Supplemental pay types: • Bonus pay and overtime.
