Job DescriptionJob Title: Forklift Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled forklift operator to join our team in warehouse operations and material handling. You will be responsible for operating forklift equipment to load, unload, and transport products within the warehouse and yard, while ensuring proper stacking and storage to prevent product damage. Responsibilities • Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport products within the warehouse and yard., • Move finished goods from production areas to designated staging locations., • Ensure proper stacking, storage, and handling to prevent product damage., • Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns., • Maintain organized and accurate inventory locations., • Verify shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOL), packing lists, and delivery paperwork., • Ensure proper load configuration, weight distribution, and securement for outbound shipments., • Pick, stage, and verify orders using warehouse management systems (WMS) and/or ERP systems., • Confirm item accuracy, quantities, and customer order requirements prior to shipment., • Maintain staging areas organized by route, carrier, and priority., • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory processes., • Identify and report discrepancies, including shortages, damages, or mis-picks.Essential Skills, • Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire., • Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience., • Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently., • Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse or inventory systems., • Ability to lift and move heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • High school diploma or equivalent., • Previous experience in dispatching or logistics coordination., • Experience with ERP/WMS systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar., • Experience in construction materials, manufacturing, or industrial environments., • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.Why Work Here? Work Environment The role involves working in a warehouse and outdoor yard setting with exposure to varying weather conditions, machinery, and industrial equipment. This is a physically active role requiring standing, walking, lifting, and equipment operation. The shift is from 6am to 3pm but may require staying overtime. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
