Job DescriptionBenefits: • Company parties, • Competitive salary, • Dental insurance, • Employee discounts, • Opportunity for advancement, • Paid time off, • Training & development, • Competitive Compensations, • Career Advancement Opportunities Responsibilities • Plan games and activities that are developmentally appropriate, • Design a daily and weekly schedule, • Provide basic care and potty training for those in need, • Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones, • Communicate with parents and update them on their childrens activities, • prepare monthly activity newsletters with co teacher, • create and implement lesson plans with co teacher, • Montessori principles- We will train you, • Outgoing personality, communication skills, • Knowledge of preparing outdoor play materials, • Enjoy arts and crafts, and be able to sing children's songs, enjoy children's music, • Classroom managements skills are a must!Qualifications, • Previous experience as a preschool teacher or childcare provider, • Must be reliable, on time, have transportation, • Strong understanding of child development, • Patient, kind, and nurturing, • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills, • First aid/CPR certified, • CDA Teacher Permit or similar preferred, • Optional, (Salary $18-22 DOE), • Childcare management/experience (minimum of 2 years), • Professional Teacher Portfolio, • additional ECE/CD classes in one or more of the following; Music, Art, Applicants Must have (the following requirements are required by the State of CA to work at this preschool center), • 12 ECE Units completed (minimum) or currently in progress at accredited college in the following classes; Child, Family & Community, Child-Human Growth & Development, Nutrition/Health/Safety, and Principles/Practices in ECE, or other approved coursework equaling Core required classes., • CPR/First Aid currently card certified, • Mandated Reporter Certificate (must be current), • Immunization Requirements; Current MMR & Pertussis, and flu immunizations In order to be in the classrooms, Teachers must bring proof of the following: Measles Immunity* (2 MMR vaccinations, or a positive titer for Measles) • Tdap for Pertussis Immunity* (immunization must be after the age of 11), • Flu Immunity (you may choose to fill out a declination - available from the front desk), • TB Clearance (within 1 year - if you have ever received a positive result, you must submit a clear chest x-ray within 5 years with a yearly reevaluation.), • *Only a physician can decline for Measles and Tdap due to physical condition or medical circumstances. Personal exemptions are no longer accepted even if signed by a doctor.
