Job Description Job description: The Test Technician II performs in-process and final inspection and test activities for Lighting and interconnect products such as connectors and cable assemblies, ascertaining actual product performance to verify conformance to specifications. This role demands a meticulous and high-level approach to ensure the delivery of top-quality products to our customers. This employee has complete understanding of all related engineering concepts, practices, and industry test procedures, demonstrating independent expertise in electronic and mechanical test of connectors, cable assemblies, and high-performance lighting systems. This team-oriented professional not only identifies issues but also helps drive them to resolution. The Test Technician III demonstrates an outstanding level of professionalism in demeanor, intrinsic motivation, unyielding attention to detail, and proficiency in deciphering engineering drawings and other technical/Test documents, and actively drives continued improvements in their own and others’ work output. Over view of responsibilities: Testing: Read work orders, drawings, and manufacturing procedures for accurate execution of test tasks. Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and test procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required. Troubleshoot, set up, and program all associated equipment and perform electrical, RF, fiber-optic, and environmental pressure test using equipment such as (but not limited to) Digital Multi-meter (DMM), Kikusui test system, CableEye IR test system, RF Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), optical Return Loss meter, low-pressure hydrostatic pressure test systems, high-pressure hydrostatic pressure test systems, vacuum test system, refrigerant leak system, etc. Lead the development and implementation of improved, new, and advanced test methodologies and programs. Record test data in the form of noneditable objective quality evidence (OQE), and mark results as appropriate. Analyze the data and make computations as necessary to determine and explain test results. Conduct comprehensive analysis of test data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process optimization. Write test and/or inspection reports as needed, describing results, recommendations, or needed rework/repairs. Tag Units Under Test (UUT) as needed for identification and control purposes. Support Design and Manufacturing Engineering with Test requirements for R&D and new products. Associates’ degree from a college or university, and five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing or test environment, including: · Quality Control procedures and documentation · Electrical Test and Electrical inspection, including use of DWV tester and/or IR tester (experience with oscilloscopes and/or network analyzers may be helpful but is not required) · Fiber Optics test using associated test equipment such as OTDR, Light source, OLTS, Fiber inspection etc. · CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician) certification is desirable Job Type: Full-time Schedule: • 8 hour shift, • Day shift, • Morning shift Work Location: In person **NO RECRUITERS, PLEASE.
