American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Oxnard, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Labor and Delivery, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 10/13/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Position is located in an acute care hospital setting on the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum unit, • Unit includes 7 labor and delivery beds, 4 triage beds, 2 overflow beds, 27 postpartum beds, and a 5-bed nursery, • Handles high-risk deliveries and patients of any gestational age, including EMT drop-offs and substance withdrawal cases, • Approximately 3 births per day in the unit, • Uses the Cerner EMR system and FetalLink fetal monitoring system, • 12-hour night shifts from 7pm to 7:30am, • Requires 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule, • Floating required between Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and NICU as needed for patient care and within RN scope, • Adheres to AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines, • Charge nurse and resource nurse support available for each shift, • Scrub color required is navy, • Primary responsibilities include providing nursing care for laboring mothers, assisting with post-delivery care, and supporting high-risk obstetric situations, • Will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including OB techs, neonatologists, and anesthesiologists who are available 24/7, • Required to float and assist in Postpartum or NICU as needed, • Holiday coverage required, typically one major and one minor holiday alongside permanent staff, • Floor-specific orientation includes three shifts, • First-time travelers will be considered if all requirements are met, • No previous direct employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities within the past year\n \n Requirements\n, • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration, • Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery/Postpartum RN experience required, • Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWOHN intermediate or advanced), and COVID vaccination, • Experience circulating in C-section cases required, • At least one prior travel contract preferred, • Experience with Cerner EMR and Fetal Monitoring systems preferred, • Must provide two references: one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years, both indicating employment dates and rehire eligibility, • Copy of driver's license required for consideration\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
